Privacy policy

Short version: this site has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics of its own. The only information we receive is what you choose to send us.

What we collect

• Quote submissions. The submit form asks for quote details: what was quoted, insurer or installer, state, model, model year, coverage, driver age band, amount, period, month of the quote, an optional source link and optional notes. It does not ask for your name or email address. Please do not put personal details in the notes.
• Email. If you email us instead of using the form, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to process your submission or reply to you.

Who handles the form

Submissions are delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form service that emails the submission to us. FormSubmit receives your IP address and the data you enter in order to deliver it, and may show a captcha. Its handling of that data is covered by FormSubmit's own privacy policy.

What we publish

We may add the quote details you submit to the public dataset, which anyone can download as insurance.csv and install.csv. We never publish your IP address, your email address or anything that identifies you.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking scripts of its own. Pages are served by our static hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, to run the service.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, labeled "(affiliate link)", and more may be added. They cost you nothing extra. If you click one, the affiliate network and the partner site may set their own cookies or record the click under their own privacy policies, so the purchase can be credited to us. We receive commission reports, not your personal details. See the affiliate disclosure.

Embedded cards

Sites that embed our state cards load the card from this site. The card sets no cookies and runs no scripts.
